about

"In my beginning is my end. In succession
Houses rise and fall, crumble, are extended,
Are removed, destroyed, restored, or in their place
Is an open field, or a factory, or a by-pass.
Old stone to new building, old timber to new fires,
Old fires to ashes, and ashes to the earth
Which is already flesh, fur and faeces,
Bone of man and beast, cornstalk and leaf…"

This compilation is dedicated to Thomas Stearns Eliot (1888 – 1965) and his poetry. It happened so that some bands from Königsberg (ex Twānksta) referred to T.S.Eliot’s works and this became a starting point for creating the compilation. Here is an effort to come a little closer, not too close, but close enough we hope to be able to hear the music of the weak pipe and the little drum between the lines… For us, there is only the trying. The rest is not our business.

After attempts to invite more people and bands who could be interested in plunging into Eliot’s poetry (well, does the poetry matter?) to let the ideas through, to combine poems with music, sounds with speech without word and word of no speech, it turned out that those who were finally involved are the bands and people connected with Brudenia and Wrotycz labels and with the land of Prūsa…

Eliot’s texts often refer to deserted, abandoned places. These are the places that we want to discover, feel and perceive. Prūsa itself has vanished from the official world and became this forgotten wasteland. Flooded by the seas of oblivion and buried under the sands of eternity, Prūsa shifted into the mythological state. Should a wanderer find himself in these lands, he begins his journey to infinity…

Welcome, wanderer! Pluck a rose... a rose of memory and forgetfulness, a multifoliate rose in our Prussian garden where all love ends…

"Goonight.
Ta ta. Goonight. Goonight.
Good night, ladies, good night, sweet ladies, good night, good night."
